A proposito dell'Annuncio pubblicato sul numero 140 di Sinfonie Scacchistiche riguardante il Concorso in oggetto, pubblichiamo quanto segue:
"In the last page of issue 140 of Sinfonie says: "Notizie dell’ultimora... Chess Composing Tournament – Dedicated to the 44thWorld Chess Olympiad of 2020”.
The fact is that this Composing Tournament has been revoked because the 44thWorld Chess Olympiad of 2020 was postponed (the notice was just published in WCCF webáge https://www.wfcc.ch/ with title 8th FIDE World Cup in Composing instead of Olympic Tournament 2020  March 27, 2020 | 8 – Other and text “Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, FIDE have decided to postpone the Chess Olympiad 2020 for the next year. Therefore, the recently announced Olympic Tournament in Composing is canceled. FIDE, in collaboration with WFCC, have decided to organize for 2020 the 8th FIDE World Cup in Composing 2020”)".
